Community use.
Commercial licensing.
AHVM v0.1.0 is distributed under the AHVM Community License 1.0. It is source-available, not an OSI-approved open-source license.
Up to $1 million ARR
Community permission is free while your company and its affiliates have total worldwide annual recurring revenue of $1 million or less. This includes commercial use. Individuals acting solely on their own behalf with no recurring business revenue are eligible.
Above $1 million ARR
A separate written, paid commercial software license is required before relying on the community license to use AHVM. The threshold covers recurring revenue from all products and services, not just those using AHVM. Contact sales@ahvm.app for terms.
Hosting, support, team pilots and model usage are separate from software licensing. Purchasing a pilot does not itself grant an above-threshold commercial license.
Existing and third-party rights
The change is prospective. Earlier Apache-2.0 releases retain their granted permissions. Upstream code, Linux, Ubuntu, dependencies and bundled AI tools keep their own licenses. Their independent rights are not restricted by this ARR condition.
This page is a summary. The full license defines eligibility and the applicable conditions. See also attribution and third-party scope.
